*This block seminar will be held in English. The first meeting is online, the rest are on campus*

Climate change is the biggest threat to the sustainability of our planet and the survival of our species, and yet we have collectively failed to address it properly. Why is that? In this block seminar, we will discuss the ways in which climate change challenges our basic moral notions like responsibility, blame, and justice, as well as upsets fundamental political categories like states, markets, and property. What are our obligations to future generations? Are individuals to blame for global warming? How can we know so much, and yet do so little? We will critically interrogate concepts like nature, energy, consumption, and sustainability in order to make sense of our current predicament.

Our first introductory class is Friday, Nov. 12, 4:15pm-5:45pm.
Our next two meetings are Friday, Dec. 10, 2:15pm-6:45pm, and Saturday, Dec 11, 10:15am to 5:45pm.
Our final two meetings are Friday, Jan. 21 , 2:15pm-6:45pm, and Saturday, Jan. 22, 10:15am to 5:45pm.

*English language requirement necessary*
