Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung werden in Kleingruppen selbstständig Forschungsprojekte zu aktuellen sportwissenschaftlichen Themen realisiert. Dabei wird ein kompletter Forschungsprozess von der Planung über die Durchführung bis zur Datenauswertung und -interpretation durchlaufen. Darüber hinaus werden die Forschungsergebnisse in unterschiedlichen wissenschaftlichen Formaten präsentiert, z. B. als Vortrag, Poster oder wissenschaftlicher Beitrag. Der Kurs bietet eine gute Vorbereitung auf eine (empirische) Abschlussarbeit.
