Comment/Description

Many students coming to study abroad at the University of Oldenburg would like to stay and apply for a job in the German or international labour market on completion of their studies.
But where can I find job vacancies? What is the correct way of applying? What are the differences between an application in Germany and, for example, in English-speaking countries?
In this workshop, international students will receive information on the procedures to follow to prepare their personal documents for an application in Germany and what aspects they should pay particular attention to. In addition, a detailed look at the differences between an application in English-speaking countries and Germany will be highlighted. Students will also receive an insight on where, and how, they can seek information on vacancies and how best to evaluate job advertisements.
The workshop will include both theoretical input and practical advice.

Lecturers: Richard Dawton (Sprachzentrum), Solveig Elias (ZSKB)
Cost: free of charge
Target group: international students
