Dozentin: Hira Nabi

This seminar looks at various texts and reading materials connected to damaged landscapes and ecological collapse. It also thinks through practices of decoloniality, modernity, and ethics. We will look at land and seascapes across South Asia, and think with and through colonial histories, imperial formations and precarious presents. I will be sharing my own work, and some works in progress, and the research that ties these works together with you. I am also interested in making small workshops with you on listening practices and orality. This is open to anyone interested in cinema, media arts, colonial theory, decolonial practices, and an aesthetic of ethics.
