How to stop procrastinating

Procrastination is a common problem, often seen especially in education contexts. Especially large projects and long exam periods invite us to procrastinate. In this workshop, we will look at the topic from different angles, search for the individual causes of procrastination and try out various solution strategies to reduce procrastination behavior.

Goals of this workshop are:

  • Insight into the topic of procrastination
  • Self-re ection on one's own behavior and the causes of procrastination
  • Getting to know and testing different methods for dealing with procrastination tendencies

Contents are:

  • Background knowledge and self-re ection/cause analysis
  • Motivation and goals
  • Time management and self-organization
  • Positive self-management
  • Emotion management
  • Transfer/ concrete ideas for application to own projects

This workshop ist targeting doctoral candidates and postdocs.
