Comment/Description

Conducting your research with focus, structure, and confidence — that is the goal.
Yet too often, time seems to slip away, distractions pile up, and pressure clouds your priorities.

This dynamic and interactive workshop is designed to address precisely these challenges. You will gain fresh tools, evidence-informed methods, and real-world techniques to strengthen your time and self-management. From identifying and reducing time-wasters to establishing sustainable work habits, you will leave with a clear roadmap for navigating your daily work — and the motivation to follow it.

The following topics will be covered:
• Analyzing your personal time-management performance
• Recognizing time-wasters and reducing disruptions
• Getting things done efficiently (e.g., using the Pareto principle)
• Planning your time effectively with to-do lists (ALPEN method)
• Setting priorities and preventing stress (Eisenhower matrix)

Additional information
Participants’ needs and questions will be collected in advance of the workshop. In the week before the workshop, participants are expected to complete a preparatory task. For doctoral researchers it is recommended to attend also Workshop 2 „Project Management Skills for Doctoral Researchers“ the next day.

This workshop is aimed at doctoral candidates and postdocs!
