Comment/Description

• This seminar is on the fundamentals of designing technology-enhanced learning. Our seminar will focus on instructional design models, particularly ADDIE, and its elements. Our topics will include instructional models, learning management systems, and the functions of digital tools in education and learning.
• The idea is not to learn new digital tools. We will focus on the functionality and how to engage with possibilities.
• The seminar is not driven by technological determinism. On the contrary, it is based on an instrumentalist approach. It does not aim at teaching the technology itself, but how to facilitate it with pedagogical considerations.
• The seminar will be held in English. I will be However, you can submit your assignments, communicate with your peers and me, and contribute to the discussions in German. I would like to strongly emphasize the need for reading the wide literature published in English, the scientific and academic language in the world.

The following rules apply for the admission:
  • At least one of these conditions must be fulfilled for enrolment:
    • Degree is Master of Education (Grundschule)
    • Degree is Master of Education (Gymnasium)
    • Degree is Master of Education (Sonderpädagogik)
    • Degree is Anpassungslehrgang
    • Degree is Master of Education (Haupt- und Realschule)
  • The enrolment is possible from 25.02.2026, 14:30 to 19.04.2026, 23:59.
  • The following categories of people are preferred during seat allocation:
    • Degree is Master of Education (Haupt- und Realschule) and Semester of study at least 2 (296 users)
    • Degree is Master of Education (Grundschule) and Semester of study at least 2 (641 users)
    • Degree is Master of Education (Gymnasium) and Semester of study at least 4 (1145 users)
    • Degree is Master of Education (Sonderpädagogik) and Semester of study at least 4 (450 users)

    Higher semesters will be preferred.
  • Enrolment is allowed for up to 1 courses of the admission set.
  • A defined number of seats will be assigned to these courses.
    The seats in the affected courses have been assigned at 18.03.2026 on 14:00. Additional seats may be available via a waiting list.
