Comment/Description

Seit Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts stehen aufgeführte (Konzerte) und aufgenommene Musik auf Tonträgern oder im Radio etc. in einem engen Wechselverhältnis. Medientechnik (Mikrofone und Lautsprecheranlagen) sorgt für Präsenz und Licht und Screens ergänzen die Bühnenperfor-mance. Dennoch scheint von Konzerten etwas Besonderes auszugehen. Im Bereich der klassi-schen Musik bilden sie heute noch den Dreh- und Angelpunkt und auch im Jazz bedeutet den Anhänger*innen das Live-Erlebnis oft mehr als ein Tonträger oder Stream. Tausende von Swifties geben unermessliche Summen für ein Ticket ihres Stars aus. Während eines Konzerts macht das Publikum – je nach Konzerttyp – besondere ästhetische Erfahrungen in konkreten sozialen Ge-meinschaften.
Während des Seminars wollen wir uns mit der Geschichte des Konzerts und seinen Ausdifferen-zierungen beschäftigen, Konzerte als Realisierungsorte von Musik kennen lernen und mit unter-schiedlichen Methoden musikwissenschaftlicher Forschung (Quellen, teilnehmende Beobach-tung) das Musik-Erleben auf konkreten Konzerten untersuchen. Dazu werden Arbeitsgruppen entlang verschiedener Konzerttypen gebildet (z.B. Sinfoniekonzert, Jazzkonzert, Singer-Songwriter oder Hard-Core Konzert), Konzerte besucht und Beobachtungsprotokolle erstellt.
Als Prüfungsleistung sind ein Referat (gern im Team) und schriftliche Ausarbeitungen vorgese-hen.
