This master's programme in Integrated Media is application oriented and focused on media studies. It offers students the opportunity to combine the areas of visual and auditory culture. Students acquire theoretical and practical skills in the area of visual and auditory media, their special aesthetic features, economic foundations, and general legal circumstances. They may choose to specialise in either the auditory or visual media. This programme trains graduates who can expect to work in institutions and projects relating to media production and media transmission.

This course of studies lasts 4 semesters. Part time study is possible.
You will complete 120 ECTS credits in the following areas:
 

• artistic technical media competence
• media analysis
• media economics / media law
• media experiments and transmission

In order to study this course at the University of Oldenburg as a student from outside of Germany, you need an adequate knowledge of German.

German Language Proficiency
You can proof your German language proficiency with the following language certificates:
 

• DSH: Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (Level 2)
• TestDaF: Test – Deutsch als Fremdsprache (with level 4 in all four areas)

The proof of language proficiency must be presented for the enrolment. For other proof possiblities see: Language requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Music/Music Studies, Arts/Art Theory, Media/Media Studies or in a closely related field worth at least 60 ECTS credits
• Evidence of closely related study content from earlier studies and/ or evidence of practical experience

This course of studies accepts a limited number of applicants.
Application for the first semester is only possible in the winter semester.

The master's programme in Integrated Media enables graduates to work in institutions and projects relating to media production and media outlets such as radio, film, the internet, media agencies, media labs and studios, media and arts festivals, labels, networks, projects, associations, industry representation, etc. The constant changes in these career fields require job seekers who are interested in self employment and unusual career perspectives, independence, and a willingness to take risks.
