Special Needs Education can be studied either in connection with a non-teaching career goal or as a professional teaching qualification. If you want to become a teacher, you must follow the combinations of subjects for each teaching position.
The career field for special needs teachers is shaped by diverse traditional and new educational opportunities for children, youths, and adults with various, and sometimes multiple, disabilities and risk factors. The most important thinking that underpins the professionalisation of this field can be found in the philosophy of educational inclusion.
