| Learning outcomes/competencies |
The students acquire basic knowledge of the properties of the laser beam tool and are able to assess the laser material processing procedures and apply them in practice. The students should be able to apply the laser beam material processing methods in the assessment of manufacturing tasks. |
||||||||
| Module contents |
Fundamentals of laser beam generation, design of laser sources (gas, solid-state, diode lasers), system technology, interaction between laser radiation and material, material processing methods (joining, cutting, processing of edge layers), practical experiments. |
