Die Kursteilnehmer/innen
- verfügen über elementare Kenntnisse der Phonologie, Morphologie und Syntax der lateinischen Sprache. - beherrschen einen Grundwortschatz der lateinischen Sprache.
- können leichtere lateinische Texte des frühen Christentums (z.B. Vulgata, Augustin, Tertullian) und klassischer Autoren (Cicero und Cäsar) übersetzen.
- haben exemplarische Einblicke in die frühe Kirchengeschichte sowie die antike römische Kultur und Philosophie gewonnen und wichtige Vertreter kennengelernt.

- Behandlung von Sachthemen aus dem Bereich der Kirchengeschichte sowie der antiken römischen Kultur und Philosophie
