will understand the fundamental terms of descriptive and inductive statistics.
will be able to choose and calculate appropriate measures and methods in order to describe empirical data properly.
are familiar with concepts of probability theory and will be able to transfer statistical results from sample to population.

Module contents

Measuring and tabular / graphic representation of the data, summary statistics (arithmetic mean, statistical dispersion), two-dimensional distributions (graphic / tabular depiction, statistical independence, contingency, simple linear regression, and correlation), fundaments of probability theory and probability distribution, sampling distributions, estimation and test methods.
