  • will be able to choose and calculate appropriate measures and methods in order to describe empirical data properly.
  • are familiar with concepts of probability theory and will be able to transfer statistical results from sample to population.
Module contents
Measuring and tabular / graphic representation of the data, summary statistics (arithmetic mean, statistical dispersion), two-dimensional distributions (graphic / tabular depiction, statistical independence, contingency, simple linear regression, and correlation), fundaments of probability theory and probability distribution, sampling distributions, estimation and test methods.
