Kompetenzziele | Participants who successfully complete this course covering the topics mentioned will benefit from a solid introduction to Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and its applications. They will gain a deep understanding of NMR structural parameters such as chemical shifts, J-couplings, and NOE/ROE, allowing them to interpret NMR spectra and extract valuable structural information. The course will also cover quantitative NMR techniques, enabling students to perform accurate concentration determinations and quantitative analysis using NMR data. Moreover, students will be introduced to 2D NMR techniques, providing them with the tools to resolve complex mixtures and investigate molecular connectivity and interactions. The course will highlight the applications of NMR spectroscopy in Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Biology, illustrating how NMR can be used to study environmental samples and analyze pollutants. Additionally, students will gain practical experience in NMR data acquisition, processing, and interpretation through hands-on sessions. Overall, the successful completion of this course will equip students with a strong foundation in NMR spectroscopy, enabling them to apply this powerful analytical technique in diverse scientific research, industry, or further academic pursuits.
The hands-on NMR training will take place on the state-of-the-art Bruker Avance Neo 800 MHz NMR instrument, which is equipped with a variety of helium-cooled cryoprobes. |
