Skills to be acquired in this module	The aim of the module is to integrate the latest developments in the field of "Media Informatics and Multimedia Systems" appropriately into a course of study. Professional competences The students: define, differentiate, and contrast special themes in computer science, and reflect on computer science practices in general recognize and evaluate applied techniques and methods and their limits identify, structure and solve problems in new or emerging areas of their discipline apply appropriate and innovative methods to the state of the art in the investigation and resolution of problems, possibly with recourse to other disciplines recognize the limitations of existing knowledge and technology practices and contribute to the further scientific and technological development of computer science discuss current developments in computer science and assess their significance Methodological competences The students: investigate problems based on technical and scientific literature, compose an article according to scientific criteria, and present their results in a scientific lecture reflect on problems in new or emerging areas of their discipline and apply computer science methods for investigation and resolution do scheduling and planning of resources Social competences The students: communicate effectively verbally and in writing with users and experts Self-competences The students: critically pursue the further development of computer science in general and this particular sub-field develop and reflect on their own theories and independent hypotheses
