Kompetenzziele | The students • acquire knowledge of maritime (civil) and marine (public) maritime law and their entanglement in the legal levels and with continental water law. • are able to analyze maritime law issues and work on them solution oriented • can develop and work on interdisciplinary research questions. |
Modulinhalte | The "Marine & Maritime Law in Europe" module includes two events, each with 28 SWS. The course "Marine Law" deals with the public law of the sea, the assignment and Use of marine resources regulates (fish, sea routes, energy [wind, oil, gas], dumping, Protected areas, deep sea mining and bioprospection, coastal protection). The course "Maritime Law" deals with international maritime transport. Topics are the transport of goods by sea (including Haag-Visby rules), liability for loss of goods, accidents, collisions, salvage and rehabilitation, as well as harbor law and shipbuilding. |
