können relevante Ereignisse der Geschichte des Islam diachron und synchron einordnen und analysieren;
können die Geschichte des Islams in kulturwissenschaftlicher Perspektive anhand von Beispielen theoretisch und methodisch reflektieren;
können gegenwärtige Äußerungen zum Islam historisch und religionswissenschaftlich einordnen;
kennen die Diglossie des Arabischen, kennen das arabische Alphabet und Grundzüge der arabischen Morphologie

Module contents

Das Modul besteht aus zwei Veranstaltungen. (1) Das Seminar bzw. die Übung zur Einführung in den Islam vermittelt Grundzüge der islamischen Religion, Kultur und Geschichte und sowie exemplarisch damit verbundene religions-, geschichts- und kulturwissenschaftliche Methoden. (2) Das Seminar Einführung in die arabische Sprache vermittelt die unterschiedlichen Sprachebenen des Arabischen, das arabische Alphabet und unterschiedliche Transkriptionsweisen ins Lateinische, Grundzüge der arabischen Morphologie sowie exemplarisch Inhalte der arabischen Kultur.
