Skills to be acquired in this module
After finishing this course, students will be able to address and discuss current challenges of the Business Informatics community. In addition, students will be enabled to solve real world problems from the Business Informatics domain with up to date means of ICT.

Professional competence
The students:
  • gain comprehensive knowledge regarding the project life cycle
  • will get in touch with current research and challenges regarding project management and implementation
  • are aware of stakeholder communication


Methodologial competence
The students:
  • provide their own approach to solving a problem or apply already existing approaches to new and unsolved challenges of the domain
  • will be enabled to apply different research methods when compiling a product


Social competence
The students:
  • are supposed to work in teams and therefore have to identify working packages and have to take on responsibility for the jobs assigned to them
  • present and discuss their own results with the team and the other members of the course


Self-competence
The students:
- learn about their own limitations and learn to accept criticism in order to strengthen their own abilities

The course focusses on:
  • Target group oriented stakeholder communication
  • Using time efficient approaches to solving problems as well as focussing on key requirements
  • How to deal with resource restrictions.
