Theory: Improved knowledge in molecular cell biology
Practice: Examination of theoretical knowledge by experiments. Gaining methodological knowledge in molecular cell biology. Introduction to how to perform research projects.
Module contents
Subjects of the lecture and seminar: Basics in molecular genetics, Structure and function of proteins/membranes, signal transduction, cytoskeleton, cell cycle, programmed cell death, cells in the social structure, molecular basis of neurodegenerative diseases
Exercises: Learning current methods of cellular and molecular neurobiology; introduction to cell cultivation techniques.
