    2 hours per week offered half a semester with 4 hours per week. Group C for Language Participants You have to book the desired date of your course via StudIP by checking into "Participants", ticking in the left hand menu "Groups" and proceed with the date of your choice. Get yourself registered by clicking the second button from the right "Become a memeber of group..." (cf. Documents). E.g. a lab project in the morning means group A (recommanded if you don't participate at a language corse) or group C. If you are taking a language course you definetly have to choose group C Aim/ learning outcome: Achieving basic knowledge in reading, understanding and production of technical drawings, getting and overview about the features of CAD-Software, knowing about the basic principles of designing and dimensioning of machine elements. Content: Rules and Standards for Technical Drawings, Design Phases: • Functional requirements, performance specifications • Design methodology • Decision processes • Detailing • Manufacturing Drawings • Grouping of parts Basic Machine Elements: • Frames • Joints • Bearings • Sealing

    Lab project I has to take place at the University of Applied Science/Emden. Lab project II is related to the specialization. Please subscribe to the list of lab projects I in time, as announced. Introductory class will be in Emden on Wednesday, 19.10.2016 from 9:00 – 10:00 for the morningen group ( room S215 neo) and from 14:00 - 15:00 for the afternoon group (room T1151). The projects start afterwards on the same day. Participation at the introduction session and final session is mandatory. Detailed project information can be given by the supervisor. Hinweise zum Modul
Module examination

2 examinations:
1 Term paper (10 - 15 pages) (Weighting 1/3)

and

1 Internship report (15 - 30 pages) with final presentation (20 - 30 mins) (Weighting 2/3)

Skills to be acquired in this module

Laboratory: Knowledge and experience about experimental work, managing experimental work and evaluating results. Design Fundamentals: Achieving basic knowledge in reading, understanding and production of technical drawings, getting and overview about the features of CAD-Software, knowing about the basic principles of designing and dimensioning of machine elements.
