Teilnahmevoraussetzungen	Recommended previous knowledge/skills: Basics of Neurosensory Science and Behavioural Biology
Hinweise	Please follow the registration procedure of the MSc Neuroscience (or MSc Biology) program. The schedule for the mandatory information meeting will be announced later.

Prüfungszeiten	The submission deadline for the essay will be within a few weeks after the summer semester lecture period. The specific date will be announced later.
Prüfungsleistung Modul	The submitted essay will be graded. In addition, each student is required to present one paper in the seminar and to participate actively in the discussion.
Kompetenzziele	This course encompasses the following goals. +++ Knowledge in auditory neuroscience ++ Knowledge in neuroscientific methods ++ Skills in navigating scientific literature ++ Skills in presenting scientific literature + Social interactions in scientific context ++ Scientific writing / scientific English + Research norms and ethics Upon successful completion of this course, students - will have sound knowledge on auditory processing at several levels, spanning from the periphery (ear/cochlea) to the central brain (brainstem/midbrain/cortex), which underlie the auditory perception, cognition, and behavior in animals and humans - will have basic methodological knowledges used in neurosensory science - will be able to search for, read, and report scientific literature in auditory neuroscience - will be able to write a review on a specific topic in auditory neuroscience - will be ready for further research in a Research Module or Master Thesis
