High-Energy Radiation Physics:
Basic understanding of the physical basics of high-energy radiation physics (in the energy sector from approx. 106 eV). Students should understand the universal approaches of the physical description of the generation, acceleration, interaction and detection of high-energy radiation across disciplines.
Space Environment:
Basic understanding of the main components of the near-Earth space environment. The students shall become familiar with die different types of radiation and particles in space, their physical characteristics and their effects on hardware and humans in space. The interdisciplinary nature of these topics shall become clear.
