Innovation in renewable energy technologies and other complementary technologies remain critical to the addressing the climate crisis. Accordingly, several policies such as feed-in tariffs, R&D, efficiency standards, taxes, emission certificates etc. have been adopted in several countries. It is important to examine the role these policies play in driving technological innovation in renewables and other complementary technologies such as energy storage technologies.
