Title Design and Implementation of an Intelligent Visitor Guidance System Using Human-Robot Interaction
Description

Problem statement

We envision the following customer journey for the Visitor Guide

1. **Arrival at OFFIS Institut for IT**: The visitor arrives at the entry area of the OFFIS Institut for IT.

2. **Introduction to Temi**: As the visitor enters, they are greeted by Temi, a friendly little robot stationed at the entry area. Temi's cheerful voice welcomes the visitor and asks how it can assist them.

3. **Identification of Purpose**: Temi asks the visitor whom they want to visit or which room they intend to go to. The visitor responds with the name of the person they are visiting or the room they need to reach.

4. **Assistance from Temi**: Temi processes the information provided by the visitor and guides them on the appropriate path to reach their destination within the institute.

5. **Accompanied Journey**: Temi accompanies the visitor on their journey, rolling alongside them as they move through the corridors of the institute. Temi cannot operate doors or the elevator, but it engages in conversation with the visitor, providing information about the institute, its activities, and any other relevant details to make the journey enjoyable and informative.

6. **Door and Elevator Assistance**: Upon reaching a door or the elevator, Temi stops and informs the visitor that it cannot operate these mechanisms. However, it provides guidance on how the visitor can proceed. For example, it may suggest pressing the elevator button or opening the door manually.

7. **Continued Guidance**: Throughout the journey, Temi remains attentive to the visitor's needs, answering any questions they may have and providing reassurance and support as they navigate through the institute.

8. **Arrival at Destination**: With Temi's guidance, the visitor safely arrives at their destination – whether it's the office of the person they are visiting or the designated room they needed to reach.

9. **Farewell and Gratitude**: As the journey concludes, Temi bids farewell to the visitor, expressing gratitude for their visit and wishing them a pleasant stay at the OFFIS Institut for IT.

10. **Visitor Experience**: The visitor leaves with a positive impression of their experience, appreciating the helpfulness and friendliness of Temi, as well as the smooth navigation assistance provided during their visit to the institute.
