Personal details

Title Development of a Consistency Analysis Tool for Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)
Description

In a previous research project, two bachelor theses utilized a simplified version of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP-Express) for choosing between software solutions. Since AHP-Express does not allow for consistency checks in the weighting of decision criteria, this master's thesis aims to develop a comprehensive AHP-based approach and implement it as a tool.

The goal of this master's thesis is to develop a tool that supports the decision-making workflow using the Analytic Hierarchy Process. In addition to decision support, the tool should also be capable of performing consistency analyses (regarding criteria weighting and transitivity).

Initially, it should be examined whether existing standard products are available that could serve as a basis. If existing solutions are used, the work will focus on supporting the resulting workflow.
The tool, which could be used for various decision-making processes, is to be developed in collaboration with our research partner, the Oldenburgisch-Ostfriesischer Wasserverband (OOWV).
