Description
The Gristeder Horstbüschen is a 40-hectare forest located in the Ammerland district. It is situated in the lowlands of the Gristeder Bäke stream, at the transition to the higher Geest ridge, and has high groundwater levels. As part of the compensation pool for the renewal and expansion of the Oldenburg–Wilhelmshaven railway line, the Forstamt Neuenburg is coordinating and implementing measures such as restoring the water balance, developing new forest structures, and taking special measures to protect species.
