Topic: Supply-side and demand-side options in unilateral climate policy design

Personal details

Title Supply-side and demand-side options in unilateral climate policy design
Description
Unilateral climate policies face the challenge of carbon leakage which hampers global cost-effectiveness of emission mitigation. The thesis should discuss the PROs and CONs of supply-side as well as demand-side options to reduce leakage and foster global cost-effectiveness of unilateral climate policy action.
Supply-side policies are e.g.  taxes or quotas on fossil fuel production; demand-side policies include taxes on CO2 emissions in consumption.
