There is a increasing interest among policymakers in using subjective wellbeing (SWB) as a mesure to evaluate the impact of policy. Rising gasoline prices have also been known to cause concern among consumers since fuel cost affect disposal income. Rising fuel prices is also known to spark protests and demonstrations e.g., the ‘Yellow vests movement’ in France due to the associated financial hardships. In this project, students will be required to examine how gasoline price changes affect SWB.
