wcm330 - Marine Sediments

Providing in-depth knowledge of
(i) ecology with a particular focus on the ecology of suspended matter and current issues of biodiversity research;
(ii) geobiology with a particular focus on sediment-biota interactions; and
(iii) imparting basic methodological approaches with a particular focus on Molecular biology and microscopy. Through the coupling of theoretical and practical events, students can study specific issues of marine ecology, microbiology and geobiology. They have learned to summarize, present and discuss their findings in a scientific presentation.
