In recent years, top politicians have repeatedly had to resign from their posts because they have passed off other people's thoughts and formulations in academic papers as their own. Many students also wonder where paraphrasing ends and plagiarism begins, or are afraid of accidentally copying. How do you refer to the state of research without copying verbatim? What should be considered when a formulation is supposed to be "independent"?

In the workshop, we want to address these and other questions around the topic of plagiarism and citation:

• How do I cite correctly?
• What types of citation are there?
• Which sources are citable at all?
• Which citation systems are relevant for my subject?

The workshop is aimed at all students.
