Course content: Which career path would you like to choose: stay at university as a scientist or change into science management? This course is designed for young scientists at the end of their PhD. This seminar is to support participants in finding out about their "job vision": Which job setting will best suit their ambitions, qualifications but also their private/personal life style. It will give you an image about your interests, skills and expertise to develop your personal “job-map”. This knowledge will be used to explore potential job fields building up a personal network. The training is conducted for 5 hours. It mixes short theory lectures, discussions, individual and small-group exercises.
Topics 1. Baseline study I: What are your interests, what is your motivation, what are your ideas for your future? 2. Baseline study II: What are your skills and expertise?
