Course content: The participants will learn in this workshop how science can be explained in such a way that it inspires readers, spectators and listeners alike. The workshop gives an insight into the journalistic work and the rules of journalistic writing. Journalism is the art of boiling down content to an essence. How to shorten scientific content so that the story is savoury, and still true, will be taught in this workshop. There will be text and creative exercises on the program. After the workshop, the participants will have got an idea of how to summarize complex contents succinctly and to talk and write about their own work more intelligible.
