Kommentar/Beschreibung

Procrastination is a common problem, often seen especially in education contexts. Especially large projects and long exam periods invite us to procrastinate. In this workshop, we will look at the topic from different angles, search for the individual causes of procrastination and try out various solution strategies to reduce procrastination behavior.

Goals

  • Insight into the topic of procrastination
  • Self-reflection on one's own behavior and the causes of procrastination
  • Getting to know and testing different methods for dealing with procrastination tendencies

  • Background knowledge and self-reflection/cause analysis
  • Motivation and goals
  • Time management and self-organization
  • Positive self-management
  • Emotion management
  • Transfer/ concrete ideas for application to own projects

Target group: doctoral candidates and postdocs

Please note:
Due to a large number of very short-term cancellations and unannounced absences in the recent past we would like to point out again that registrations for workshops of the Graduate Academy are binding. Cancellations are only acceptable under imperative circumstances and need to be announced as early as possible. If this is not the case, workshop places that have become available cannot be given to individuals on the waiting list or the workshop cannot be cancelled in due course in the case of low demand. In this case high cancellation fees occur. Under these circumstances the offer of the Graduate Academy cannot be held up in the medium term.

Anmelderegeln

Diese Veranstaltung gehört zum Anmeldeset "Zeitgesteuerte Anmeldung: Putting an end to procrastination".
Folgende Regeln gelten für die Anmeldung:
  • Es wird eine festgelegte Anzahl von Plätzen in den Veranstaltungen verteilt.
    Die Plätze werden in der Reihenfolge der Anmeldung vergeben.
  • Die Anmeldung ist möglich von 14.07.2023, 12:00 bis 02.10.2023, 23:59.
  • Folgende Personenkreise werden bei der Platzverteilung bevorzugt:
    • Abschluss ist Promotion (1238 Personen)
