| Beschreibung: | Eco-labelling is a policy instrument with a history of more than 30 years. A lot has been written on consumer's attitudes, their willingness to pay a price premium for labeled products and so forth. Much less is known about the supply-side: Why do producers decide to apply for a labelling programme with some of their products? Which products get labeled? Which don't? Why can we see nearly 100% hard third-party labeling in some industries, (e.g. office laser printers) while other industries just ignore labelling or prefer weaker first-party controlled programms? In order to analyse and explore these problems, we are going to conduct interviews with producers and experts from labeling organisations. Since interviews will be done in german, all participants should be in good command of the german language (at least have good reading and listening skills). I personally would also prefer to hold the lessons in german. However you are encouraged to write your project reports in english. |
