Dit colloquium is voor alle BA-studenten die een BA-Abschlussarbeit met een taalwetenschappelijk onderwerp willen schrijven, en voor alle MA studenten die zich meer in taalkunde willen verdiepen, en voor alle promovendi die aan een taalwetenschappelijk promotieonderzoek in de vakgroep Nederlands werken. Het is verplicht voor MA studenten die uiteindelijk een taalkundige Masterabschlussarbeit willen schrijven.
