“Career paths in Science, Medicine and Technology” offers you the chance to meet OLTECH alumni and other role models, to hear from their experiences, and to interact with them. You will learn about a variety of career paths and get insights into different areas of work, in particular jobs outside of academia. Our guest speakers will talk about their current position, the moves that got them there, the relevance of skills acquired during their doctoral studies and will be ready for your questions.

Guests: Founding and Innovation Center of the University of Oldenburg (GIZ) & Founder of Datenschmiede.ai GmbH

The Founding and Innovation Center of the University of Oldenburg (GIZ) is a central contact point for employees from universities all over north-western Germany, who are interested in starting their own business. It offers professional advice, coaching and further qualification opportunities to help them on their way toward their own start-up.
The Startup and Innovation Center (GIZ) is the first contact point for all students, researchers, employees and alumnae of the University, that are interested in starting a business or working as a freelancer. We offer professional advice, coaching, events and workshops as well as mentors. Furthermore we support you with setting up a business model, applying for funding and finding team members.

Since 2020, Franziska Gloeden is a startup consultant at the GIZ and will be able to answer your questions on how to build up a business.

The event series is a joined initiative of all the doctoral study programmes of OLTECH and all doctoral students are welcome!
