Description

The program provides optimum prerequisites for a career as scientist in medical research, industry or clinics with a focus on medical technology, neurosciences or acoustics.

Orientation and goals

The master's degree programme Physics, Engineering and Medicine conveys and combines practical and interdisciplinary skills from physics and electrical engineering with theoretical competencies in medicine, biology and psychology.
Through its focus on hearing and speech research, as well as neurophysics, neurotechnology and medicine, the programme offers excellent training in the field of medical technology and enables an entry into an excellent research field and diverse career options in industry, clinic and university.
The programme is linked to the Cluster of Excellence "Hearing4all" and thus has a high degree of interdisciplinarity between physics, medicine, acoustics and neurosciences. It offers early research contacts and the opportunity to work at university and extra-university institutes such as Fraunhofer, HörTech and Hörzentrum Oldenburg.

In order to study this course at the University of Oldenburg as a student from outside of Germany, you need an adequate knowledge of German.

Application and admission

This is an open admissions degree course, and applications are accepted for both the winter and summer semesters.
The application deadline for the winter semester is 30 September.
The application deadline for the summer semester is 31 March.

For open-admission Master's degree programmes it is strongly recommended to submit their applications as early as possible before 15 July for the winter semester and before 15 January for the summer semester. If the supporting documents are submitted after these dates but before the standard application deadlines, this may have disadvantages for the start of your studies.
