Depending on the selection of modules, the master programme teaches the advanced knowledge and research methodology in the working direction available in the Institute of Chemistry. They comprise

From each of the Divisions of the Institute of Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical and Theoretical Chemistry as well as Technical Chemistry, module can be selected in a volume of max. 30 ECTS credits. Each Division offers a research laboratory course with accompanying classroom activities (15 ECTS credits), a module with advanced lectures (9 ECTS credits) and a module with specialised lectures (6 ECTS credits). Some modules are offered in English.
The master thesis comprises 30 ECTS credits.
A semester abroad with 30 ECTS credits is recommended.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry or from prior studies in a closely related field.
