Orientation and goals

The bachelor's programme in Business Administration and Law at the University of Oldenburg puts a special emphasis on teaching up to date legal knowledge. Alongside the core areas of economics, students acquire practical career skills that can be put to use later in business management. The proportion of law subjects is higher than is usual or possible in a general bachelor's programme in economics or business. Students can acquire new knowledge and skills in subjects such as private law, commercial law, corporate law, competition law, European economic law, labour and social law, public economic law, and industrial and environmental law. This programme offers a firm grounding in business with an additional qualification in law. This degree qualifies students to work in numerous career fields, including businesses, organisations, NGOs, and European institutions. The additional qualification in law is a response to the increasing importance of law in society.
