  • conceptually understand and formulate environmental problems based on microeconomic theory;
  • classify different types of pollution, related environmental problems, and the corresponding market failures;
  • recommend appropriate policy instruments to adress environmental problems
  • critically analyze environmental policy interventions.

  • Theory of welfare economics and environmental goods;
  • Pollution problems and targets;
  • Policy instruments;
  • Cost-Benefit-Analysis.
