Current subjects of marine biodiversity research are defined and developed to an own research project before the background of the latest scientific results. Students develop experiments, learn and apply methods, derive, analyse and evaluate data.

SE: Presentation and later on discussion of the own research project
E: Own research projects are performed in the working group of the respective lecturer and also outside Oldenburg University: Deutsches Zentrum für Marine Biodiversitätsforschung DZMB (Wilhelmshaven) (German Centre of Marine Biodiversity Research) or Alfred-Wegener Institute (Bremerhaven)
