Skills to be acquired in this module | Introduction to both microevolution (speciation and species concepts, adaptation and selection, behavioural ecology, reproduction systems) and macroevolution. Introduction to phylogenetics (phyloinformatics, molecular systematics, phylogeography). |
Module contents | The lecture imparts basic knowledge in areas including population biology, phylogenetic systematics, phyloinformatics, behavioural and reproduction ecology. These fundamentals are extended in the seminar and exercises. |
