Following the theoretical fundamentals of previous studies, students are to apply the scientific approaches imparted by teachers to practical hypothesis-based field studies in this module. The obtained results are documented in a laboratory course report. The cooperation of teachers from different fields enables also interdisciplinary approaches (e.g. botanical-zoological approach) to be followed.
Module contents
S: Biogeographical and ecological classification and characterization of a biome (e.g. Mediterranean area, humid tropics, boreal zone), group elaboration of scientific topics, presentation of results

PR: Performing a free field research project, data analysis, preparing a paper
