Skills to be acquired in this module | ++ deepened biological expertise ++ deepened knowledge of biological working methods ++ data analysis skills + critical and analytical thinking + independent searching and knowledge of scientific literature + ability to perform independent biological research ++ data presentation and discussion in German and English (written and spoken) + project and time management Predominantly for students putting emphasis on sensory physiology. Acquiring advanced theoretical knowledge of sensory and neurophysiology. Independent planning and performance of own projects including literature research. Preparation of a scientific report. Presentation of own project. The module can serve the purpose of preparing a Master’s thesis. |
Module contents | 1. Independent performance of an individual project in small groups (topic depending on working group!): 6 weeks at about 30 hours/week. Dates are individually arranged with the respective supervisor. 2. Participation in the working group seminar Neurobiology (5.02.016) including presentation of the project and the results obtained. |
