Title | Extension of a Selective Plane Illumination Microscope setup (SPIM) for cleared tissue imaging. |
Description | You will be part of an interdisciplinary team of physicists and biologists studying the sensory biology of animals. The goal of your project is the extension of an existing SPIM setup to dual-sided illumination. The setup will be used to take 3d images of tissue/organs which were chemically prepared to become transparent. You will get the chance to learn about modern optics and fluorescent microscopy, to design custom made parts in CAD and how to control hardware. Any prior knowledge in these fields is beneficial but not absolutely essential. The project can start in summer or fall 2022. We are looking forward to your (informal) application. If interested, please send a brief description of you motivation to the project and a CV to sba@uni-oldenburg.de. |
