'Design of Wind Energy Systems' offered as online course Dear students, 5.04.4235 'Design of Wind Energy Systems' will be offered as online course starting April, 21st. At the moment we are preparing an online version of both the lecture and the simulation project. The course is composed by lectures, tutorials and assignments integrated into a case study (6 ECTS). It includes an introduction to a wind turbine design tool widely used in science and industry with exercises in the CIP-Pool (if opened again) or on the students’ computers. The course is organised in the form of six subsequent thematic modules along the design process of a modern wind turbine. The simulation project will be run continuously during the lecture period with a large degree of interaction between the students doing their individual projects and the teachers. Further information will be given soon. Please sign-in well before April, 21st in order to be informed on further details and to enable an effective preparation. Please note that it is required that you have successfully attended an introduction on wind energy, e.g. 5.04.648 Wind Energy Utilisation (Bachelor) or 5.04.034 ‚Basics of Wind Energy‘ (Master) or 5.04.4061 ‘Wind Energy Physics’ or an equivalent course.
