What is Stud.IP?
Stud.IP is an open source project licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). The system is constantly being further developed, and there is always someone with an open ear for your suggestions or comments. Just contact either the Stud.IP crew or your local support directly.

To be able to use the full range of Stud.IP functions, you must log in to the system.
This allows you to

access your data from any Internet-enabled computer worldwide,

view new messages or files since your last visit,

create your own profile in the system,

send messages to, or chat with, other people,

and much more.

Privacy statement
The information required under Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and further supplementary information on the processing of your personal data in Stud.IP can be found here. If you have given your consent to the use of Stud.IP when registering, you agree to the processing activities explained there.

Terms of use
By registering, you also agree to the following terms of use:

The first and last names displayed in Stud.IP are taken from the data of the Admissions Office or the human resources department via the identity management system and cannot be changed in Stud.IP. The user ID required for login is provided by the university and cannot be freely selected.

The email address is linked to the user ID and cannot be changed either.

All other information about yourself is voluntary. If you provide further information about yourself, this will only be accessible to registered users of the system. The staff directories of the participating units are an exception because these are generated automatically from system data.

When using the Stud.IP communication system, applicable legal regulations must be observed. Specifically, users undertake

not to use Stud.IP to retrieve or distribute immoral or illegal content, in particular content that is racist, sexist, anti-Semitic or discriminatory in any way;

to observe applicable youth protection regulations;

to respect the privacy of others and therefore never post or send harassing, defamatory or threatening content.

not to run any applications that could lead to a change in the physical or logical structure of the networks used.

The use of Stud.IP for any other form of advertising or marketing messages is not permitted and obliges offenders to compensate Stud.IP for any damages incurred.

Stud.IP users undertake to protect access to the system against unauthorized use by third parties. Please note that you may not disclose your password to others. Stud.IP users are liable for any unauthorized use of their own account made possible by their own conduct, insofar as they are at fault.

Stud.IP users who violate the obligations listed above may have their write access privileges withdrawn by the IT Services or the responsible lecturers of the course they are enrolled in.
