In diesem Seminar sollen am Beispiel Ostfrieslands die historische Entwicklung, die areale Variation und der Gebrauch einer Regionalsprache im Kontakt mit der hochdeutschen Standardsprache untersucht werden. Dabei werden auch politisch-kulturelle und sprachliche Beziehungen zu den nordöstlichen Provinzen der Niederlande berücksichtigt.
